Key message 1 description... The marine layer this morning is expected to burn off by late morning. However, some fog could move onshore along the coast during the day today with the SSE winds. Although temps will be cooler today, the southerly flow will continue to bring moisture into the region. In addition, the next system will push more moisture into the area ahead of the rain. These parameters will prep the area for fog tonight as the winds calm and the temps cool. Greater low level moisture will allow for the marine layer to move into the coast again. Unsure how far north the marine layer will reach, but the coast will see reduced visibility.

Key message 2 description... The closed low pressure system is expected to slow over new england before tracking NE across the gulf of maine. The ensembles and deterministic models show a better agreement with the higher rain amounts staying in the south while the north could see very little rain in the form of isolated showers. Rainfall amounts seem to have decreased further, however, due to the possible showery nature to the rain, still uncertain to the amounts. There is some potential for a thunderstorm thursday afternoon, but not anticipating severe conditions.
