Northwest flow aloft with a large area of surface high pressure building southeast across the great lakes and ohio valley thru the week. This high will offer cooler and dry conditions thru friday. Expect abundant sunshine with pleasant highs in the upper 70S to the lower 80S today, slowly warming to the lower and middle 80S friday. These readings are close to 5 degrees below normal today and thursday and close to normal friday.
A system digging southeast in the flow will offer the first threat for showers and thunderstorms late friday night. Precipitation chances look to increase saturday as the low tracks thru the ohio valley. As this system meanders thru the region precipitation chances continue sunday and into early next week.
Surface high pressure will offer mostly clear sky conditions overnight. Some patches of clouds between 3000 and 4000 feet may produce brief VFR ceilings across the northern taf sites this morning. Otherwise, some patchy river valley fog may affect kluk late tonight. Any fog will improve quickly after sunrise. Expect some scattered VFR cu during the day on wednesday.
Outlook...MVFR to IFR conditions are possible at times saturday and sunday in addition to thunderstorms.
