Tuesday night through next monday:
Another day of hot/humid conditions as we remain on the edge of the high pressure sitting out near the desert southwest. A frontal boundary will also begin to slide down, providing a slight relief from humidity in northeast counties, however temps will remain in the mid/upper 90S to near 100 degrees with areawide heat indices above 105 f, with some areas reaching indices in the 110-115f range.
A heat advisory and extreme heat warning will be in effect again wednesday given there isn't much change in the current scenario. With daytime heating and an approaching boundary, showers/storms will be possible wednesday afternoon, and this could bring an earlier end to the heat over NE counties, but it will still be plenty hot before that happens, and so will keep this area under the heat advisory for now. One thing worth mentioning for wednesday - nothing is outlooked for our cwa at this time, however, a marginal (1 out of 5) risk for severe weather is outlooked near mid al, and this may expand into our area due to decent instability in place. The boundary is expected to make it farther south into our area and stall thursday, but there is uncertainty in how far south the front makes it.
As the high pressure retreats and keeps northwest flow over the area, another frontal boundary will push into the area from the late friday into saturday. This will keep rain chances through the weekend and into next week as this front stalls over the area as well. /SW/
