High pressure ridge over parts of the four corners region and portions of the southern plains to control the weather pattern across south central texas for the short term period. This means that the typical late july hot temperatures continue with highs in the mid to upper 90S and the 100 degree mark across most locations and up to 106 degrees over the southern rio grande plains. Heat index values are forecast to stay just below heat advisory criteria for wednesday for areas along and east of interstate 35. Continued to use heat safety tips and stay hydrated.

Hot and dry to say goodbye to july and hotter and dry to welcome the month of august 2026 on saturday. Continued hot with increased moisture to bring heat index values into heat advisory criteria for areas along and east of interstate 35 and coastal plains. Then saturday evening into sunday morning, a frontal boundary is forecast to push across the local area and produce isolated to scattered showers and storms. Can't rule out a few showers or storms on sunday afternoon across the hill country, otherwise, back to dry weather conditions for next week.

All terminals are VFR. We are just starting to see the low clouds develop on satellite over the coastal plains. These clouds will eventually spread to san antonio and austin within the next few hours and then to drt by around sunrise. All airports will rebound to VFR by late morning. In san antonio, southerly winds will become breezy during the evening. Low clouds will develop again overnight wednesday/thursday.
